hosts file is empty

EDIT: You may close this thread. After looking through several other threads, there were several very similar threads that were solved earlier. Ran Malwarebytes and it fixed my problem, the trojan was DNSChanger. It was on both my computer and my wifes laptop. All is well now. Both PCs are running smoother than they day we bought them.
