Hello. I am new to this forum.

I just reformatted my computer and installed Windows XP home edition. I actually partitioned my HD in 3, leaving 8 GB for the XP. The XP is updated to service pack 2.
After installation, I did not have Internet connectivity. I updated many drivers using a second computer and a pen drive, but I do not know how to run a xps file.

Some features of my computer are:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2C (with LAN)
Chipset: Intel Lakeport-G i945GC
Realtek RTL8139/810x Fast Ethernet Adapter (in PCI port #2)

In the device manager two items come under other devices (yellow question mark): ethernet controller and PCI Device.

Can somebody help trouble shoot? I tried installing a PCI install from Realtek, but had no luck.

Hi Br, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

It looks like you have some problems with your drivers. Do you have the CD that came with your motherboard to install the drivers? If not, you can download them from the Gigabyte web site.

Arachibutyrophobia,
I did some box opening and finally found the CD with the drivers.
Thank you.
