Just wanted to share a problem and the decision.

I have recently experienced the following promlems with one of my HDD's: every time the disk was accessed, the whole system severely slowed down. I thought that I have to say goodbye to my rather new 500Gb friend =)).

But my friend adviced me to change the SATA cable, and after I've done it - everything is working fine!
