Hello HT Team

I think I might have something hidden in the background....keeps opening certain popups, often poker ones etc. and keeps my system running slow:( I have Intel core 2 duo 2.5GHz and 3GB ram so it should be fine... and Win XP pro SP3....let me know if there is anything to be removed. Thank you in advance.

P.S. I am planning on organizing my laptop fully then reinstalling my xp pro after stripping it up by using nLite software. Hopefully it will get rid of all unwanted parts of windows.

Also anything that can be removed without interferring with related software/applications etc please direct me how to remove them...e.g., live messenger sing in helper etc. or acrobat download helper and similar.....i can do it manually. It is just unnecessary application constantly running and checking for updates. And for future installations is there any way i can prevent it from installing itself? Thank you once again.

I have installed a new verion of Xp using nlite...hoping that removing some things would speed it up... also, I had random files made during various installations, so now it is all organized...so far..(that was the reason for re=installing :))

this is my new log. please look into it since I had spybot remove some stuff which shouldn't be there. another weird thing I have now which I didn't before, is that I have internet but neither fox nor explorer want to surf the web for some weird reson. They simply loose the signal...skype works though  I don't know. maybe there is something blocking it I don't know. firewall is ok, settings for my wireless are ok...it was ok 2 days ago so. please take a look. Thank you in advance :D

Are you familier with ZoneAlarm program access settings? IF so, check and make sure Internet Explorer and Firefox are allowed to get online.

You did a fresh Install of windows then you shouldn't have any issues or did you do a system restore? Please clarify.

Well if you keep download software from p2p networks you will conintue to have problems.

i don't have a hijackthis log to look at.
