Hi. i am new to this and would like to start off by thanking all those that may help me

first off my computer has a couple of problems let me start with the one that i know most about.

when i restart my computer it seems to get stuck on "checking disks" if i bypass this testing stage my cmoputer boots up fine with some kind of broadcome dll error message (not my major concern)

now..... my computer has been running slow so i have uninstalled some unneccesary components and tried to run
disk defrag then i get the following message whihc i believe is the root of my problems

" an error occured in the file "found.004/file000.chk" "

what is this and how do i fix it?
thanks so much

Found/check files are files that chkdsk recovers and saves (in case you need what's inside of them).
First, try running chkdsk /r again, then....
You may want to have a look inside these files on your hard drive to see if you need them. If so, save them.
After you've made this determination, delete them and the won't cause you any further problem.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
