The other day I turned on my computer (after my roommate had been on it) and there were all kinds of things running in the system tray on the right side of my menu bar. I clicked start/run/msconfig and went to the startup tab. Everything in it was checked off (I usually only have about 4 things checked).
As I started unchecking items I saw that one of them was SpyCrush.exe. I unchecked it, then ran Spybot Search & Destroy, then followed BC's instructions for running SmitFraud Fix.
I went back into msconfig and SpyCrush is still in there, albeit unchecked
I have a Dell computer & Windows XP.
I'm performing the Kaspersky Online Scan and will attach that when it's complete.
I scanned "Critical Areas" and it came back empty - no threats detected. ???
