My daughter's computer has Spy Guard 2008. It's an amazing little thing. I can't access bleepingcomputer.com or any other useful website with her laptop nor will it let me download a working version of Malwarebytes' Anti_malware.

At this very minutes I have her laptop in safe mode and am downloading Malwarebytes software but have changed the name of the download folder and I am hoping that will work.

Apart from a total reformat I don't know what else I can do. Any ideas?

I think I've done it. What a nasty little virus this is.

I'm now setting my daughter's computer up with better protection.
