How are you today? I've been working on trying to get my friends computer back up and running after he has been repeatably receiving the blue screen of death window on his Windows Vista Operating system. When you log in to his computer under normal operating conditions, windows starts, runs for a few minutes while everything is loading in the back ground then blue screens. This happens every time you restart the system. If you start in safe mode I have only had the blue screen occur one time in well over 30 restarts. The computer is running McAfee's and I have run a manual scan that pick up nothing. When I first tried to install Malwarebytes the system would not do anything....I would click on the setup file and it would act like I never tried running the file, I finally got around that by renaming the setup file to M.exe and it allow the install. However I can now not execute the program to run and do a scan. Also when I try to go to certain webpages whether its through internet explorer or Mozilla it says the page can not be displayed or it sends me to another bogus page. Browser like yahoo or google are not a problem to go to, but if I try to come here bleepingcomputer.com or something like an online virus scanner pages that is when I'm redirected. I've attached my HiJackThis Log to in the proper forum here on this website, it can be found at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/top...797.html....Any Help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
