can you get into safe mode or windows, if so click start then run then chkdsk /r /f /x c: (if c: is your windows drive)

if you cant cant get into windows then boot off your windows cd and ay the first opton choose recovery console ® and the when you get to a prompt type in chkdsk /r c: and let it do a checkdisk.

puter is not here now , but will try that first thanks for the fast response

ps could,t get into safemode or anything, made sure bios recognized the hd first, then ran chkdsk /r from the cd and able to get puter running
