Okay, so i have encountered viruses that give the false notification of malware in a computer (the one where balloon is spelled 'baloon'). Usually Smitfraudfix takes care of it no problem. Also malwarebytes-anti malware has worked for me as well. I have run both several times on my friends computer and it is still infected. I can not get either internet explorer OR firefox to even OPEN. the window never appears but task manager reveals a process for the corresponding browser is running. computer reports that wireless internet is connected but i can not ping a damn thing and AVG free is unsuccessful at updating. I have heard of combofix and hijack this, wondering what i should do. please help. BEST to respond via email because i will get it automatically instead of checking my post for replies, but ANY help is appreciated. THANKS
