At the very top of the list should be an option to Repair Your Computer. Have you tried that?
If you don't have the option, try booting from your Vista DVD. At the first screen you'll have an option to Repair Your Computer listed in the lower left side of the screen.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
