I have a nasty virus which i think is attached to my desktop. The desktop image has been changed to a bright geometric pattern which is an explorer file called ~tmp. I am unable to delete it or change the desktop to anything else. I have tried running AVG, Superantispyware etc but it has not been fixed. I have also tried starting my pc in safemode to run my antivirus programmes but it just hangs and will not start. The virus seems to open unwanted web pages at random intervals.
Help please!
an HJT log is attached
