Hey people I need some help I got a VAIO CR363 running on windows vista home premium and its running dead slow I bought it about 3 months ago I have tried every thing I know i.e. Disk fragmenter , disk cleanup I uninstalled a couple of softwares. But the thing is still slow and it is almost at 100% in the CPU usage meter.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

In Task Manager, what processes are using a high amount?

Did you try to boot into safe mode? Is it still slow? Was it fast at first and then slowly get "slower" or did you turn it on one day and it was slow?

Its mostly 90-100%

It turned slow all of a sudden.

When you open the Task Manager, click on the Processes tab and note which processes are using the most CPU cycles

In case you don't know how to access Task Manager, it's Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Vista will give you a screen where you can choose "Start Task Manager".
