So I installed the software that came with my new camera, the Canon SD880 IS, and followed the other install instructions. I then connect my camera to my computer and the windows notice shows up saying it was detected but it cant find the drivers. I looked on the disc and the canon website and they said it should be a plug and play device. How can i install the drivers that i need?

Drivers are often unnecessary. Many camera's, when connected, appear in My Computer (or Computer, if you have Vista) as removable storage. Which version of Windows are you using?

You might also try just using the Camera Wizard to add it as a device...I agree with the assertion that drivers are not necessary.

When i connect my computer by usb it doesnt show in my computer nor will windows do anything in the camera wizard. A similar thing happened when i tried to install my cellphone on my computer. I think its a failure in my plug and play, but i dont knw.
