Hey everyone. Just to introduce myself, my name is Ian. I am a senior at the University of Kentucky and a Part Time Musician to pay the bills (Beer Money). I just wanna say this is a fantastic site. There are some brilliant people here and its great that you all take the time to help others out. I love that attitude regardless of the area of study. I wish it was more prevalent in the world these days, but I'm glad I ran along this site. Anyways, ,my question is this. I came across the site in an effort to fix a Malware problem. I did the proper procedures I believe as far as posting the appropriate logs and such. But it did take some time for me to figure it out. Therefor I posted a quick into. Ran a test....posted the log....ran another test....posted a log. Then I read in a pinned thread that if you bump your own thread that you get bumped back in line. Does that kind of thread bump result in my thread getting pushed back in line or is it only impatient bumps begging for immediate help that get pushed back? I hope this doesn't get misunderstood, I am in no way complaining about the time taken to receive any help. I am just curious as to how the system works. Either way I assure you I am incredibly grateful for any help I get. I have developed a pretty steady interest in computers since I started recording musically through my laptop. I think I can learn a lot from this site so I'd like to stick around. I hope everyone is doing well and its nice to meet everyone

Cheers,
Ian

Yes, it does. The HJT team are very busy and have a bit of a backlog. When your log isn't responded to after 5 day you should post here:

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits
