I AM TRYING TO CONNECT HARDWARE THAT REQUIRES A SERIAL PORT CONNECTION. LACKING ONE, I AM USING A USB ADAPTER, WHICH CAN ONLY CONNECT TO THE PC USING PORTS 1-4. POP UPS DECLARE EACH OF THESE PORT CONNECTIONS INVALID. I WOULD LIKE TO CHECK THE STATUS OF THESE PORTS IN THE BIOS BUT HAVING TROUBLE NAVIGATING THE BIOS TO CHECK IT OUT.

What's the make and model number of your computer?

Also, on the left hand side of your keyboard is the Caps Lock key, please turn Caps Lock off
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
