this is rich, (richard, rick, dick, anything but late for dinner) writing from corinna, maine. i'm 60ish, a big guy with a grey beard and a small ponytail (what a pain in the butt!). i lost a leg to diabetes and other health issues, and now use an artifical leg (prosthesis, pross). i get around pretty well, but am considered completely disabled. i live on a monthly pension that just barely pays the bills. it gives me a lot of time to surf the net, read several newspapers, chat, visit 'social networking' sites, etc.
and that gets me in trouble... i've had several (more than four) viruses over the years, two very recently (the ahsan variety). i tried to fix my desktop myself, and wound up reformatting, reinstalling win98, and then upgrading to xp. then my laptop got ahsan and virtumodo and a few others. it's in the shop right now, and will return with kaspersky installed and three licenses.
wish me luck... i have a lot of downloading to do -- on both machines. i hope you all don't have the same experience i did.
sincerely
rich
