hi somebody help me to uninstall this program

hi iam dinesh,
the INSTALL SHIELD UPDATE MANAGER was installed on my computer.and i dont know how it happened.it may be through automatic update also.

i want to know what is this program and how to uninstall it.

hi thanks for repliying......

its not working.i somewhat managed to find where it is stored " C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService ".but there is no uninstall file.
This file is added on my control panel also.

And issch.exe(which is prgram related to install shield update manager)is running at the background.

and another file wscnfty.exe also running(its related to sp2 updates)

i want toget rid of these files.........

There is a free uninstall program called Total Uninstall, I found it in the "freeware replacements". I've never used it, but you can give it a try... :thumbsup:

this tool is working great ......and there is option that there is also totaluninstall3.3.......great work man :trumpet:

hi guys ,its not working............total uninstall........there is no such program in add or remove programs even. i only found this program in control panel.

anybody know about this program.ITs not a appilication...because it is one of the icon that i can see on control panel.what is this program. do i need to give more explanation tell me please...........and some programs related to this update manager are running in background.

It most likely came with something you installed.
A lot of programs use Install Shield which supposedly checks for updates to the products.
Everything I've read about Install Shield includes statements that the update function is useless.
If you can track down the program you installed that contained Install Shield, removing the program may get rid of it for you.
