I have the same problem and am currently following through with the scans. What about IE? will it be able to connect properly after these scans have been performed?

See if this fixes your Net. Are the other issues gone?

Go to Start ... Run and type in cmd
A dos Window will appear.
Type in the dos window: netsh winsock reset
Click on the enter key.

Reboot your system to complete the process.
