Please help.
I have followed all of the instructions given in the "before you post your hijack this log" to the letter, but still, the following are showing up:

SpyBuddy
Guardian Monitor
StartNow

I also have recieved 3 alerts from Norton saying that I have the Bloodhound.Exploit.6 virus. (Norton has not detected this during a full system scan. It alerted me via a pop-up message, also saying it tried but could not remove this). Not sure if this could be a false positive?

I've scanned using the following (all were updated prior to scanning):

1. SpyBot S&D
2. Ad-Aware
3. SpySweeper
4. SpyWare Doctor
5. TDS-3,
6. Microsoft AntiSpy
7. AOL Spyware Protection
8. X-Cleaner
9. TrendMicro (online scan)
10. Norton AntiVirus 2004

AOL Spyware Protection is only one that keeps uncovering the 2 keyloggers and one adware. It says it removes it, but it still shows up. I've tried turning off system restore, booting in safe mode, running scan, deleting the offenders, rebooting in normal mode, re-scanning, and it just won't go away.

What should I do?
(Please bare in mind that I'm not very computer-smart, and any advice given should reflect that by being as bleep and Jane as possible, lol).

Here is my HijackThis Log:

Also want to mention......on another computer help forum, I was instructed to delete the following using HijackThis:

C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\AOL\111912~1\EE\AOLHOS~1.EXE
C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\AOL\111912~1\EE\AOLServiceHost.exe
04 - HKLM\..\Run: [HostManager] C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\1119127021\EE\AOLHostManager.exe

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINNT\about.htm

O23 - Service: Deepsight Extractor (DeepsightExtractor) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Symantec\DeepSight Extractor\ExtractorService.exe (file missing)

O16 - DPF: ppctlcab -

O18 - Protocol hijack: mhtml -

O8 - Extra context menu item: &AOL Toolbar search - res://C:\Program Files\AOL Toolbar\toolbar.dll/SEARCH.HTML

(I also downloaded LSPFix.exe from CEXX.org, in case I found I could no longer access the internet after making these changes).

I killed all of the above listed things, but as you can see from the log I posted, there are a few that refuse to die. These deletions did not help. What I have noticed is that I cannot log into any of my MSN boards using my .NET passport now. I can sign in to .NET passport on the .NET website, but cannot get into my MSN groups.

Thanks for helping me......

AOL Spyware Protection is the one that keeps telling me that these are on my system. Here is the log file from AOL Spyware Protection:

Hi. Please download and install the program Registry Lite from here:

http://www.resplendence.com/reglite

Once it is installed, please double click on the icon that should now be on your desktop. If an icon is not there, then check under programs portion of the Start Menu.

Once it is opened, copy and paste the below line, into the address field of Registrar Lite.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\internet explorer\toolbar

And press enter. You will now be presented with new information in the bottom right and left sections and on the right section.

Right click on backbitmap and delete it.

Those other two files are valid files.

Thank you SOOO much. I did what you instructed and StartNow has been eliminated from my system. No sign of it appears here on the new AOL Spyware log:

Now, I would LOVE to assume that AOL is screwing up and identifying the remaining 2 legitimate files as keyloggers, but since there's so much potential for major damage if I DO have keyloggers on here, I want to make sure.

What should I do at this point?

If I looked it up right, I think one of the 2 things that AOL is having such a hissy about is something for Visual Basic? But what is Visual Basic? Is that something that all computers with Windows XP have? I'm pretty sure I didn't install anything like that........(?)

Thanks so much.
(I will leave a donation for this. But have to make sure there are no keyloggers first, lol.)

These files are support files for programs that were created by the programming language visual basic. They were probablyt installed by legitimate programs but are being seen as bad as they may be incorporated with programs that are not as legit.
