Problem upgrading to xp pro

Hello I am trying to upgrade my XP Home 2002 Service pack 3 to XP Pro from a 2006 disk. It tells me that it can not do this because my Ver. Of Windows is newer. If I still want to do this I will have to do a clean install from Boot with Cd.
My question is if I uninstall the service pack 3 will it let me do this or is there another way to do it without having to do a "Transfer files and settings".

Thank you
Calvin

You should be able to uninstall SP3 and then install XP Pro - but post back if it doesn't work.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Ok it has stopped working it is trying to copy the files from the I386 folder it says "setup cannot copy the file" it keeps saying this for many files. I found them on my other pc running XPPro and copied them to a disk and it will not see them from there ether.

Just an up date. All seems well I canceled all the files that where not able to copy and let windows run. Then I ran sfc/ scannow and it seems to have replaced the files.
