To anyone who can help:

I noticed that my IE automatically shuts down on certain pages like ESPN or on other pages if a page is loading and I click or doing anything with my mouse. I've also noticed that sometimes my computer slows down. I'm just concerned about any spyware, trojan horses, or trackers. I've ran Ad-Aware and Spybot to remove any spyware they can detect. Here's my HijackThis log:

I need to get samples of some of your files. Please create a folder called c:\submit. Now copy the following files into that directory:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Plugins\npchime.dll

To copy the files simply navigate to the directory they are in and right click on the file name, and then click on copy option. Now go back to the c:\submit folder and right click in the folder and select the paste option.

Once the files are all copied zip the folder and rename submit.zip to yourmembername.zip (for example grinler.zip). If you are using XP or ME right-click on the folder and click on the Send To option and then send it to a Compressed folder. You will now see a file called yourmembername.zip. If you are using another version of Windows, please download a program called Winzip and zip it using that.

When the files are zipped, go to:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/submit-malware.php
and fill in the required fields and browsing to the file you are submitting Finally click on the Send File button.

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

Hi Grinler.

I've uploaded the requested file. I've done the suggested fixes in Hijackthis and done a few others (noticed some of the entries related to programs I don't have on my computer anymore). Here's the most recent hijackthis log:

Hey Grinler.

Well, bootup is slightly faster but IE is still buggy. Whenever I go to certain websites or pages, IE just totally bombs out and closes itself without warning. Some of these include ESPN.go.com or www.victoriasecret.com. Do you think by uninstalling IE and then reinstalling IE that I could fix the problem? Thanks.

Peter
