 Well this is a different laptop, I have a Sony Vaio GRZ530 with XP sp2. Still a good machine I have a vertical line about 3 1/2 inch or so from the right side. It is a red line from top to bottom of LCD, The line is still there if I reboot and into BIOS. I though if pixels were dead it would be a black line. Before I buy new screen I want to be sure that is the problem. Sony wants $700 for lcd, Found a couple on ebay for a little over $100 New. In repair4laptop they do not have any PDF's for replacing screen. Thanks for any help on either.
