win2000 safe mode

hi,

i have a problem booting my pc into safe mode. i have windows 2000 installed and when i press F8 i dont get the safe mode list, instead i get the options to boot up from the floppy drive, hard drive or CD. there are no other options.
can anyone shed some light on this please?

Kris,

My Computer does the same exact thing. Basically what it is, is an added feature that some motherboards have that allows you to boot from your cd or floppy or hard drive etc etc....without having to go into BIOS and set the boot order.

All you have to do, is hit F8,

Then when the Boot Menu comes up arrow down and select Hard Drive by pressing enter...right when you hit enter begin tapping F8 again (you have to be quick)..

then the Safe Mode Screen should come up....
