I had the nagging false "security Alert" pop up virus. It would surface every couple of minutes. I ran several virus programs that I subscribe to with no report of a trouble. I ran ComboFix and the trouble seems to be gone  I think I will be making a donation to the ComboFix cause!

My question is why did ComboFix work when others that I pay money for failed? I can post the log report for review if it could provide helpful info.

You are very lucky to say the least!

Please note the message text in blue at the top of the Am I infected? What do I do? forum.

ComboFix It is an extremely powerful tool which should only be used when instructed to do so by someone who has been properly trained. ComboFix is intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert", NOT for private use. Please read Combofix's Disclaimer. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.
