Hi all:

Till the recent past, the words on my desktop were legible. Something has since happened. While some words are legible, it is often impossible to read others. They appear to bear thin scribbles that look more like insects. i have tried restoring my system to an earlier date but this has not helped.

The problem occurs only when using IE.

Any advice will be appreciated.

try this: go to ie, opentools>internet options>accessibility and put a checkmark in all 3 formatting blocks.
Spike's advice: Backup your data routinely.

I had the same problem today with my sister and scarlett helped me and my sistere here is how to fix it:

Internet Explorer > View > Text Size > Smallest - Smaller - Medium - Larger - Largest

if it is on smallest move it up to smaller or medium. This should fix the problem.

Also, if you have a mouse that has a wheel scroll...
if you hold CONTROL on your keyboard, and scroll the wheel, it will adjust the text larger or smaller (depending on which way you scroll the wheel).
