I have a Compaq sr2023WM with a A8M2N-LA MB. When I turned it on this morning there was no display and no post. I have tried a different psu, removed the ram, cleared the cmos, and even taken the MB out removed everything except the processor and still no post or video. I think the MB or CPU is gone but just checking for any other suggestions. The odd thing is that as soon as I plug power to the psu it starts the cpu fan. Again, the only thing plugged in is the 4 pin power to the board, and the 20pin connector to the board. Ram is out and everything else is out. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I would say it's most likely the motherboard failing. I've never seen a processor fail (I'm sure it happens though) but I've seen many dead motherboards. I've had a motherboard that would let the fan's spin up, and the light come on the computer, but it would not post.
