Thanks for this site. This is my first post, hope I did it right. I have xp pro sp2. It will only start in safe mode w/o network. When starting norm it gets to loading settings page and freezes. In safe mode trying to load aaw2008 I get the message systmem admin has set policies to prevent install. I am the admin. I have already ran regCure and noadware but no luck. Thanks for any replies.

Possible infection...one of the things infected systems have in common (sometimes) is the inability to install/use any mechanisms for rooting out the malware.

Tried any online scans?

I can't get online. The only way to start it is in safe mode w/o network. I have Noadwarev5 installed and it has already removed all malware(supposedly). What next.

I agree with Louis.

Still sounds like you have something nasty blocking your help routes.

Post a question on this forum and an expert will guide you through some search and destroy methods.

Good luck
