Rather than disabling all your security features just have the sender zip the file and you will be able to receive it. It will also send much more quickly in some instances.

Its a really bad idea to use MSN without anti-virus protection.

Since it is an .exe file going through MSN Messenger, it is being (rightfully) blocked, since this has been a source of malware recently. Leurgy's suggestion about zipping the file is very good, and does not require you to bypass your computer's security, and the zipfile could either be sent by Email or through Messenger.

John

amiroooo, you can get that file from a much safer source here. Click on XviD codec for windows. This way you can be sure that the file is what it is supposed to be. Its never a good idea to download .exe files through MSN or any other IM programs.

Let us know if that works.

If you can't open .exe files and you can't access certain sites I think you have some further problems you should investigate. Go here and download HiJack This. Then follow the instructions here about How to submit a Hijackthis Log. Let our HiJack team help you with your problems.
