Is it possible to temporarily disable Norton without completely uninstalling/removing it--just long enough to run another antivirus program?? If so, can you tell me how?

On a Windows XP is all I know--asking for a friend.

Thanks!

Right click on the Norton icon in the systray and uncheck "Enable File System Realtime Protection" (exact text may vary between version of NAV).
