Okay here is the problem. A friend of mine gave me his Alienware Area 51 M5500 Laptop to fix. I fixed the viruses and returned it to him. He plugged it into the wall with no surge protector and the power went out and His PC rebooted and since then The Light has not been working (Backlight) I replaced the Inverter and the Backlight and it still wont turn on. I had to solder the Backlight wires myself. I checked with a multimeter the cables going to the Inverter and they ll have continuity. What do I do? I checked the BIOS and it said something with the LCD. Could not really read it because there is no backlight and the setting was AutoDetect. What do we do? I had it for a month now and I want it fixed....

Would it matter on which side I soldered the Thick Pink Wire and the skinny white wire?
