I use Zone Alarm Security Suite and AVG Anti-Virus Free.

Zone Alarm has picked up a virus Actns/Swif.T but it gives an error when trying to treat it.

It states that no treatment is available for this item with further information stating that "This file could not be scanned - Error: E0060005h

It has treated several Actns/Swif.T objects but won't treat that one.

AVG isn't picking it up at all.

Help!

I am having the exact same virus problem!
It happens everytime I load an embedded video such as from YouTube
I've run through some scans via CA and Advanced SystemCare but it still will appear as a virus when I try to load the website that has the embedded video! How the hell to get rid of it? :flowers:

It seems I've got it too doing nothing, I also get some pop-ups.
I use CA Internet Security Suite, and I'll try to turn off System Restore and get rid off it.

I had this virus show up on 4 pc's today. I got an alert from CA that it was cured. Is there anything else that needs to be done for this thing or am I good?

It seems I've manage to get rid off it.
It activates every time I open youtube, but it's strange that I got infected when I was not listening anything, I din't even had youtube opened.

I've turned off System restore, because all those stuff remains there.
I've run ATF Cleaner, opened youtube and just waited for CA EZ Antivirus to find it by himself because on Scan On-demand it finds nothing.
Then I turned on System Restore again, and it doesn't show anymore.
Now I'm still waiting but I hope it won't show up anymore.

Btw. Each time (3 ) it was stored in Temporary Internet files and every time antivirus finds it and deletes it, the next second it appears again saying infected.

Have you tried running MBAM or SAS?

No. I've only done this.
I've had several situations when antivirus finds it, deletes it, and then the virus shows again.
Then I use the solution to turn off system restore, because viruses are coming back from there.
After deletion they are mostly stored in system restore.

I'm still on youtube and everything is fine for now.

I have both of these programs in my computer, thanks anyway for suggestion, and sorry for grammar mistakes and my english.

Keep getting blue screen of death (Kernel Stack Error) not sure if that is due to virus or something else.

Then my keyboard packed up and its taken me til now to borrow a replacement from a friend

I will try the different things suggested in posts and see how I get on.

Thanks for the replies

Looks like it’s a false positive by CA.

“Good afternoon. This email is in regards to issue xxxxxx for eTrust AV. I am aware that you are being infected with ACTNS/SWIF.T VIRUS.
Support and the Research team is aware of this “false positive” and is actively working on releasing public signatures to correct this.

In the meantime you can download the beta signatures that will correct the false positive.

Thank you,
CA Technical Support”

Threaders on CA issue,

Good job! I watched the posts yesterday, as I too was greated by the Actns/Swif.t gremlin. I tried everything in your posts as well as deleted all sorts of shockwave files and Adobe products. Nothing worked. not even turning off Restore and deleting all sorts of temp files. When I turned on the computer today, the download from CA for the security suite must have corrected the problem because it was gone as fast as it arrived. I noticed the clip from Enigm@ and was thankful someone could get through to CA...knowing a fix was on its way. Thanks to all for the posts and had I found a solution, I would have let you know. Stay well. Sawgrasser.
