Hello, thanks for all you guys do! I use this website frequently as a resource in my IT'ing, this one is really escaping me (my home dev machine). Anyhoo, here are my issues:

Computer:
HP m8120n
Vista Home Premium (32bit)

A/V:
Norton 360, up to date
Spybot S&D, unfortunately, not so up to date

Issues:
1. Tracking cookies: I am constantly getting notices about tracking cookies from Norton. I "fix" them, and they come right back. I ran SuperAntiSpyware and it found 20 tracking cookies, and "fixed" them as well
2. Random popups: typically come when the browser isn't open. Firebug reveals the ad source as mainly Zedo, but the url reads <hxxp://www.weather.com/?somelongquerystringthatlookslegit>
3. Outlook (07) issues: probably the most troubling is that some of my accounts (I sync about 6) stopped working a few weeks ago. I, being an idiot, ignored this and reconfigured the non-working accounts to use encrypted connections and voila! they worked (the changed accounts sync to my webserver).
4. Slow: I know, I know, but this is an extremely fast computer (2.4GHz Intel Quad Core, 3.5GB RAM, Nvidia 8800 512MB) and abruptly became slow a few weeks ago

Every time I attempt to run RootkitRevealer it crashes after an hour and listing off 10-15 entries (most of which appear legit), so I am unable to export the log. I run it in compatibility mode and as an Administrator. The ones that concerned me were security mismatches on some of Vista's RPC and some other Windows remote-centric programs I have never heard of but Google said were legit. As I said, I have run a complete scan from Norton 360 (no infection), SuperAntiSpyware (20 tracking cookies), RootkitRevelear (fail), I installed ZoneAlarm and it said it blocked 27 inbound and 50 something outbound, and of course, HijackThis. Here is my HJT log:

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2

I just got an alert on one of my other computers that a message in my inbox was infected with I-Worm/MyDoom.BE from AVG. Ran a full scan and it found 3 more instances. Please help!

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine. If you have not done so, include a description of your problem, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below a staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results, click no to the Optional_Scan
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet. Information on A/V control HERE
