I am running vista home premium, i have done all the usual things defrag, disc cleanup and deleted cookies. It is still running very slow and i dont know what to do. I have the usual windows firewall and run AVG free version. There is a Norton Ghost icon in toolbar but it is unable to connect and service isnt running. I cant get that to delete.

Can anyone recommend a good clean up program that doesnt cost a fortune (preferably free)

thanks kas

Norton Ghost is a backup imaging program. There is no need for it to run at Startup.
Download Codestuff Starter:
Open it and check the box by Norton Ghost only
That should prevent it from running until the time that you want it to
