If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine. If you have not done so, include a description of your problem, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below a staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results, click no to the Optional_Scan
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet. Information on A/V control HERE

Your System is Infected with a Backdoor!!
Backdoors cause severe damage to windows' internals, and allow an attacker complete control over the infected system. Because this state allows the attacker to download new malware on demand, log keystrokes, execute programs, and/or view the system's screen, it is recommended to reformat and reinstall the operating system on this machine. Several experts in the security community believe that once a system is infected with one of these types of backdoors, the system itself can never be trusted again.

I ask that you disconnect this system from the internet NOW!. While it is attached to the internet, the attacker can modify the system, and prevent fixes from working as intended.

Another danger of this type of infection is that of Identity Theft. Because such malware can read all of your passwords, bank account numbers, etc. from your keystrokes, I would recomend contacting banking institutions accessed from this machine to ensure your accounts are secure. Most banks will not charge to send you new credit/debit cards, and getting these numbers replaced would be a good idea. It would also be a good idea to change passwords for anything you commonly use online. Online stores, Facebook/Myspace, Email, etc. If it has been on that machine it may have been read by someone else. Don't do it from this machine, as it is now compromised. Do it from another known clean machine. A good place to do this is at your local public library.

Oh my god! and It's been in this state for a while. Man, I feel sick. Also, reformatting, Just putting in the windows cd and clicking install? Or the format where I loose EVERYTHING? Thanks for your reply.

Just got outta school :thumbsup:

You should be able to backup your data (i.e. word docs, pictures, etc) to removable media. Then format and reinstall, which will, yes, delete everything.

Then install an antivirus, and then you can copy your data back off your backup without fear of this particular backdoor returning.

So, do I just right click on my hard drive and format? Then chuck in the windows disk and install?

All you need to do is boot the windows disk and follow the onscreen instructions.

When presented with a partition management screen, delete the partition containing the existing windows installation, and install to the "unallocated space." Windows Installer will format this area with a new filesystem automaticly.

Billy, One more thing. When installing windows, do I just boot the cd and when the screen comes up just click install windows? I want to know I'm not reformatting for nothing if the malware continues to stay there.

It will be keyboard driven -- no mouse support in the installer. But the onscreen instructions should explain it pretty well.
