hibernation problem

I have a dell laptop. When i put in hibernation they keyboard and mouse doew not work so i Have to reboot. I have to to a hard reboot which means pusing power or taking the batter out.

Any ideas on how to overcome this?

Hibernation/standby can be affected by corrupt video drivers. I would start by replacing/updating the driver
