Last Known Good Configuration is a registry entry that stores the "Last Known Good Configuration".
This is the state of the startup configuration that's stored in the registry.
It's updated for each successful logon.
It's sorta like an abbreviated version of system restore - but it only affects the registry, and then it's only some specific startup sections of the registry. Also, it generally won't fix missing or corrupt file issues during bootup.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able. - John
