Okay so I was helping a friend with her computer...
Then a update came up saying download
'windows internet explorer 7' then it took awhile to download then when it was done...It just kept restarting/crashing the PC over and over again...Now,I have no idea.A little help would be great.
Also some Compaq logo comes up then some reboot screen...I am lost.lol
Tired to research this a little bit... Some calling it a 'blue screen of death'?
And one telling me I need to restore the computers previous info.
How do I do this?

Last Known Good Configuration is a registry entry that stores the "Last Known Good Configuration".
This is the state of the startup configuration that's stored in the registry.
It's updated for each successful logon.

It's sorta like an abbreviated version of system restore - but it only affects the registry, and then it's only some specific startup sections of the registry. Also, it generally won't fix missing or corrupt file issues during bootup.
