HI, Does anyone know if there is a way to attach (embed) pictures or graphics directly onto emails without having to use the attach, in other words when the receiver of the email gets it, thay do not have to click on attach to see the image, its already there on the message. I hope I explained this right. Thanks Hugs Sandie

Hotmail has a great way to do this. I also have a Yahoo account. So give me some time to check something out.

Yahoo
> Compose
> click on Attach Files
> directs to a page to browse for files on hard drive
> Click on browse
> Go to your My pictures folder
> Highlight the image file you want to add

> click on open

> click on Attach Files

> Click on eiether Continue to Message or Attach more files

Now if you apply this to send an image to another Yahoo account, this will not place the image within the body of the text. But it will show at the bottom of the e-mail. I will check to see how it works when sending a image to a Hotmail account later. I do not have the time now.

I know of no other way to add an image in a Yahoo e-mail. If you ever get Hotmail, let me know.

Sorry I could not be more help.

Or if the provider (does yahoo or hotmail allow HTML?) you could just use HTML.

Hi, Yes they allow HTML not too sure what that is though, I tried one way and it worked but only on certain images. I right clicked on a pix and clicked on "copy' than I went to compose an email in yahoo and pasted it in the message and it worked on my end, but when I sent it it only came out on a few peoples emails, not everyones(have no idea why) anyhow I will try the way you posted Scarlett in a few, I was short on time last night. Thank you for your help, Hugs Sandie

Good Job!

Oh I'm sorry. I did not realize that you wished to have a permanent sig and image show in all of your e-mails. If only I had known. I could of helped you much sooner. I thought that you wanted to add images once in a while. Is this how you did it?

> save image to your harddrive
> Upload sig. to your Photobucket Album or other Photo Hosting site.

> Go to your Yahoo Mail

>Click on Mail Options - Upper right hand corner

> Under the Personalization category

> Click Signature - Attach a custom signature to your outgoing messages.

> Click > Color and Graphics

> Go to your Photobucket Album

> Now you need to copy the Tag - Which is the HTML Tag

> Now paste it into the text box to add it as a sig.

> Now click on the save button at the bottom left hand corner

Remember than many people, for security reasons, will only read Email messages in plain text, so your signature will not be imbedded for these people.

Scarlett no it was much easier than that, I clicked on mail options but before that I had clicked on"copy" of the picture I wanted to use, than when I clicked on mail options, went to signature and just pasted the picture and than added the text and clicked on save its been working fine!!I guess you could also do it the other way, I just have fun trying new and quicker ways, my daughter has been a big help when she stops by too, as my hubby is computer challanged, lol. Thanks for the help. Hugs Sandie

Hi Sandie.

Could you please lead me through how you are doing this excactly?

1. Where are you copying/pasting the image from?

2. Has the image that you are using, been saved to your hard drive?

3. Do you use a photo hosting site?

 Hi Sorry I didnt answer right away we were away for the weekend. Okay all I did was find a graphic that I wanted to use and yes saved it in my picture file. Than (and Im sure there is an easier way but I didnt want to use photobucket or any other pix saving site,to me that is a pain having to get the url) so I emailed the pictureto myself. Than I clicked on the picture to save but instead of clicking on the save picture as" I scrolled down a little and clicked on copy. Than I went to "mail options" in my yahoo email, and clicked on that, and than clicked on signature. When I got the blank page I "pasted" the picture' right onto the email, and attached my signature ,than clicked save down at the left corner. Now when I send an email I just check "attach signature" and its attached to any emails Ive sent. If you want to see how it works send me an email (not too sure if you are supposed to put email addys here)and I'll send you back one with the graphic. If I didnt explain this good which is entirley possible ,LOL, let me know. But it does work!! Hugs Sandie

Mod Edit:: e-mail addy removed for members benefit.

Wow, that is something that I did not try. You have taught me something that I did not know. Thanks!

And no you should never post your e-mail addy. Spambots will pick up on it. And who wants that? :flowers: So you should remove it.

Just click the edit button. Then delete > submit modified post.

In case you do not know how. Though you probably do. :trumpet:

Edit: I will remove it for you.
