I just ran a AVG scan and I got four files with this? I have been lucky and never gotten a virus...I run all of the major security programs I have seen here. Is this a Trojan? If, so how do I get rid of it? I wonder how it/they got through to begin with???

Please help me, as soon as possible. I'm really freaking over this.

Try downloading a couple of virus scanners via rescueme and see it that helps to clean up the infection, if possible run the scanners in safe-mode.

Run HijackThis and post the log in this section of the forum a expert will look at your log and help you clean up your PC.

I went to control panel and cleared cache on Java, unchecked the Microsoft as default. Then ran scans S&D, Ad-Aware, and AVG. All clean  Will Java run on it's own? Do I go back and set it on Microsoft again ? Thanks for the help, it is much appreciated :flowers:

Hello La Princess. Here is a link to another topic about Java/Byte verify. I am still wishing I could get rid of it on my puter.. but it does no harm as my WinXP SP2 is all up to date. It's just that AVG doesn't like it and I get tired of AVG finding it. lol

Hello Pandy... Thank you it was driving me crazy...couldn't delete, quarantine etc. of course you already know all of this. I am glad to hear that it is just a pain to have it come up all of the time, and nothing serious.

It's cool La Princess. I want to get rid of it but have not been able to.. if I hear of a way I will let you know.. but it does no harm so I am not hurrying about it. LOL
