Last night, my boyfriend was on my computer, explorer froze on him and he restarted, and when it booted back up, the keyboard would not work, this happened after he downloaded and installed a private server of Ragnarok II, the keyboard lights up, but it will not type, can anyone help?My friend wrote this up for me, as I can't type.

Hi Nikkiness, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

It would help if you could tell us what the make and model is of this computer.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Can you try another Keyboard? That would eliminate Hardware issues, unless you happen to be using a Laptop?

That is what dc3 is searching for, Mate! It can be quite confusing to us if the two are confused?

Hi, this is her friend typing for her (I've been giving some tech advice, but advised her to come here.)

She's already tried 2 different keyboards, a regular one and a Razer Tarantula, hotkeys will work, but nothing else.
the make and model is a Dell XPS 410.

A mod can close this problem, we fixed it by restarting, getting it to show up in the device manager, and uninstall the drivers, and reinstall from the disc (even though the disc said it was going to uninstall then it installed, dyslexic ftw?) and restarted and it worked! :D
