I have a dell dimension 2400 that has been sitting idle in my closet for a year or so. All of a sudden when I try to use it I am getting a plethora of error codes using the diagnostic lights on the back. I have put new (tested and working) RAM into it to try to solve some of these problems but it still will not boot.

The errors are as follows:

Memory modules are detected, but a
memory failure has occurred.

Another failure has occurred.

..Any help is appreciated. Thank you,

Are the modules that you installed are functioning properly and that they are compatible with that motherboard?

If you have any doubt about the RAM try running Memtest86, the longer you run this the more accurate the results will be.

Can you give us the error that are being displayed?

Well the thing is the computer wont even boot the bios. I am basing these error messages on the A B C D lights on the back of all dell computers that light up with different colors to indicate different errors.
