I am also new to this, so please bear with me.
I have Spybot installed on my computer, and it has detected Adpowerzone.
When I instruct Spybot to remove it, my monitor go blank...Help?

Hello Alien55 and welcome to BC

Try running Spybot in Safe Mode. To get there, keep pressing F8 as soon as you start your computer. You will stop at a menu. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and press enter.

I'd suggest you also try AdAware.

If those ideas don't help then perhaps you should post a log in our HiJack This Forum.
