Help please. I have a serious hard disk error. I have a blue screen with unmountable boot volume. I've managed to get into windows recovery console and ran chkdsk overnight. It achieved 25% check before reporting that there are unrecoverable hard disk errors. I can hear you all shouting at me before I say this but no I do not have a backup of all my data files.

Can someone please tell me how I might be able to retrieve some of my data files?????

Help I'm panicking!!

Hello and welcome
