I am thinking about upgrading our network to gigabit

what do you think about the gigabit networking?

Do you have it if so whats it like?

Gigabit LAN is amazing and great for sharing files among your computers. A few things you need to know is that you need new equipment that is capable of those speeds, such as NIC cards and routers. As far as the cable goes you can get away with standard CAT 5e, because the ones difference between the actual two wires is that the CAT 6 is "approved" for gigabit speeds, but the technical specs are virtually the same (ie: same amount of wires, slightly thicker wires in some CAT 6 cables, and etc..)

I have been using it for a while and I personally love, works excellent for LAN Parties! :thumbsup:
