I installed CloneCD foolishly not checking if the file could be a virus. 10 minutes later my computer was excessively slow and I found I have the rs32net virus. I stopped the task and deleted it from the system32 folder.

I used HJT and saw it in the registry entries so I clicked the check boxes and clicked fix this and left everything else that I didn't recognize.

Heres the weird part now, anything in firefox or IE will not load if its related to spyware or virus removal. I can't even click on any links in a google search as it loads a new tab with beansearch.com.

Used ATF-Cleaner to clean up firefox cache and any user temp files. cleaned out 450mB

Tried running Malwarebytes Antispyware - but it fails to load so then I tried to install Panda antivirus 2007, could not run ANY updates so it was okay for a quick scan. Found 2 files and I deleted them. Uninstalled panda rebooted to see if I can install malwarebytes again - no luck.

Tried installing spybot search and destroy - no luck, the trojan/virus is blocking any output connections for virus removal software to download updates (AVG, AVGAS also failed).

After rebooting windows would just say "loading user preferences" and freeze. Loaded to last known good configuration and now back in windows. However, my cd-rom and dvd-rom drive are no longer working (drivers are somehow messed up, which is beyond me). My windows updates are turned on but in the task bar its telling me its disabled.

Installed ad-aware 2008 - could not do a update but running a full system found 8 files infected that were deleted.

Still hasn't solved my problem with being able to browse the web. Have a generic host error also

I'm using my laptop; I can download antivirus programs and then send them to the infected pc from file sharing (mac laptop to infected pc).

Mcaffee Stinger:
found nothing

please help
