With all the buzz about it and its upcoming release, wouldn't it be a good idea to add a Windows 7 Fourm?

Good idea. Does it deserve its own forum or combine with vista?

I'd say it deserves its own forum as it is a separate operating system.

I'd say a 'Vista 2.0' subforum, that we can move after it becomes more mainstream.

I dunno, I've see quite a few posts for Windows 7.

Its up too you, which ever you find more appropriate.

I also have to factor in the staff working the forum as well. Making sure that the topics are relevant and spam free.

Well, it being my forum suggestion, I would help moderate the forum to keep it as spam free as possible and to move HJT logs and such to the appropriate area, but I do not know if you need another moderator, let alone hire some one who has only been on the forum a little over a year. (A year and 4 days to be exact according to my join date.)

We appreciate the offer, however thats not quite the point I was making. It's not always as simple as creating another forum.

moderate the forum to keep it as spam free as possible and to move HJT logs and such to the appropriate area,

surely this factor ia already facilitated here
Forum Tidiness
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/137145/bleeping-computer-tidiness/

and here
Misplaced HJT logs
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/124974/post-misplaced-hijackthis-log-links/

as these were introduced partly to enable those regular members who wish to and who perhaps understand the way this Forum 'works' and runs' to participate IN some way towards the duties OF keeping the site tidy

In the interim, whatever works best for the Staff and keeps the board moving smoothly.

Windows 7, or whatever MS may ultimately call it, is coming, and we'll no doubt make a new Forum for it as has been done before.

I don't remember how you handled it for Vista (& the betas?), but if that worked well, then that same methodology would seem appropriate.

Just my 2 cents.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!
