Turned on computer today and the computer wouldn't startup its beeping every second and has a red light on and a yellow light flashing, the monitar will turn on, but nothing will come on.

Specs:
Packard bell
Windows XP Pro
700 of RAM
The computer is about 3-4 years old
Its never been cleaned out, so could of been to much dust?

beeps are usually an indication that you are having some type of hardware issue.....the beeps themselves can give you a clue about which hardware component is faulting.....you can reference the amount beeps, length of beeps, against documentation of your motherboard type and could help resolve the issue.....commonly continuous beeps would indicate a memory issue....

Might as well try...removing the RAM modules and then reinserting them.

Then I would try each module, one at a time, in the same socket...then the next socket...attempting to boot after each change.

As a preliminary step...blow the insides of the computer with canned air, to help eliminate the possibility of overheating, etc. due to dust, etc.

I cant the computer doesn't boot up, Ive now sent it away to a computer shop to be fixed.. They said it could be the power supply.
