Hello,

Just joined this forum (looks very helpful), and thought I'd introduce myself.
Majored + grad school in literature, but somehow ended up working in IT for some large corporations.
Mostly as software tester in base development groups, business systems analyst, emerging technologies consulting, etc.

Basically, "quasi-IT". Did this for about 7 years, then got out of it.

Now I own a (very) small business - NOT related to IT, and I just painfully realized that I know almost nothing about networking and hardware (servers, routers, etc).
Somehow I've got to learn about these things - and fast, or I'll go bankrupt.

Hence, I thought I'd join this forum (very impressive, by the way), browse through it, and hopefully get some sorely needed advice from some of the knowledgeable people here.

Cheers everyone

Funny, I majored in Philosophy and ended up as a Project Manager. Now that you have your own business, don't hesitate to ask questions from our community about networking and the needed hardware.
