I'm having a problem with attachments. I can't add them using any of my various e-mail accounts. I've also tried different browsers to no avail. Recently I've also had problems opening attachments. I've run virus and spy ware scans, but they don't seem to help either. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried hotmail, yahoo, gmail, and 2 university accounts and none of them work. Any clues as to what may be the problem?

Have you checked your firewall & spyware real time protection & anti-virus if they are stopping you from doing this?

When you are attempting to attach a file to the Email on the web, precisely when are you stopped? And do you get any sort of error message?I think more detail might help everyone figure out precisely where your problem resides.
Thanks,
John

What exactly should I look for when checking firewall and virus protection? My firewall is on. Also, when I try to attach I get an error message stating that the data isn't found or the e-mail program just freezes. Does this help? Also, I tried to see if it was just Word documents that I was having problems with, but it is not.

Since you are getting dialogue boxes with messages, it is most likely not a firewall blocking access. IF you are using IE, check to be sure your security settings for the email sites is not set too high; move these into your trusted sites.
Where is the document you want to attach stored on your harddrive?

Cheers,
John
