Although I have 'check for updates automatically' checked--it doesn't and when I go to check for them myself and Windows says it is scaning my computer it stops at 0% and never goes farther. It doesn't freeze the computer but it never scans-just 0%.
I have Windows Me

Any help?
Thanks, Jan

Hi JanMc

Microsoft has a page that deals with troubleshooting Windows Update issues here. Look for "Scan hangs at 0%".

Let us know how you make out.

Thanks! I did their first idea and it worked. Had 46 updates, but only updated 9 of them. The rest were for foreign languages.

Thanks again, Jan
